Global weather anomalies

It’s obvious to me that people are confused, and I must admit I was too. Global warming is true, but not for the reasons they claim. The earth most certainly is getting warmer, because the government along with the air force and others are making it warmer.

English: HAARP antenna array

HAARP antenna array

It works like this.  Our ozone is being depleted, the sun appears hotter because our protection is dwindling and in some instances – gone.  They come to the rescue with planes loaded with a chemical concoction that is sprayed into the atmosphere, shielding us from the sun.  This is incredibly cheap, because they use mostly waste products that they would have to otherwise pay to dispose of.

The stuff falls to earth, we breath it in with every breath we take.  Our obituaries are full of people with lung problems.

That’s only half the story. They use HAARP and their vast array of electrical devices to manipulate the weather causing drought or floods, snow or sleet. They are trying to hide the changes to our weather. They are calling for snow this weekend, in June. It’s not natural, it’s an illusion the powers that be will play until the last minute.

So, watch this video, but ignore the part about how it’s getting colder.  Don’t believe me?  Do your own research, I have.

Ignore the stupid title.  Who comes up with this stuff anyway?

Jobless rate continues to climb

Despite new articles with headlines proclaiming “Jobless rate falls slightly in Mother Lode in Oct.“, the unemployment rate, in fact,  continues to climb.

Unemployment Continues to Climb

The unemployment rate fell in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties in October compared to last year, according to a recent study completed by the Employment Development Department which tracks local labor statistics.

Tuolumne County saw modest job creation and its unemployment rate fall to 12.5 percent in October, compared to 13.1 percent during the same period last year. However, it was a slight increase from September, when unemployment hit a two-year low of 12.4 percent.

The number of people filing for unemployment benefits fell from 3,320 last year to 3,160 in October, with the number of employed people climbing slightly from 21,980 last year to 22,020 in October.

Most job sectors saw falling or flat employment figures last month, with modest gains in government jobs and hospitality.

I guess if you don’t mind serving the Chinese and Japanese tourists, instead of going on vacation yourself, the increase in hospitality employment is a good thing. However, adding even more government jobs continues to take our nation down the wrong path to increased government spending. It’s a bleak outlook, no matter how the media tries to paint a rosy picture.

Preparing For Winter Fun

Thermal underwear is great to have in the cold mountain snow but there is more to preparing for a trip to the mountains to play in the snow than loading up the snowboard, tire chains and filling up the gas tank.

Pier 39 in San Francisco

San Francisco, Pier 39: Fisherman’s Wharf

It’s not uncommon to see people running around Twain Harte in the dead of winter in shorts. I asked one man what he was thinking and he told me he had decided to make a day trip to the mountains and forgot to pack his pants.

Mountain weather can change quickly and temperatures drop like a rock when the sun goes down. So, please don’t forget your pants at home.

I have to laugh at that because I remember one early fall day over ten years ago when our family made a trip to Pier 39 in San Francisco. We wandered around shopping, watching the seals and sampling the local  eateries. When the sun went down, the temperatures took a nose dive and even though I was wearing a sweatshirt and a coat, it was so cold, we shopped for  and purchased jackets – and grabbed a blanket from the car.

I had planned to quote Mark Twain just now: “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” But,  according to Snopes, it’s not true. You have to admit, it could be true for most Californian’s. However, since I’m from Michigan — well, let’s just say  San Francisco doesn’t come close in comparison to a cold Michigan winter.

When you know you will be out in the cold weather, be sure to bring along extra socks, wool is great at keeping the moisture away from your feet. The snow in the Sierra Nevada range  tends to be wet and heavy. Warm socks, gloves and hats are essential. As a rule of thumb, bring twice as many as you would normally bring to ensure having a dry set available.

The DOT does a terrific job of keeping the roads clear and over the past several years new signage has been erected. As such, most people make their round trip to Dodge Ridge in safety but there are times when, due to vehicle failure, a motorist can get stranded. It’s always better to be prepared for just such an emergency.
