Stupid Politicians

Are you as sick and tired of stupid politicians and I am? I have had it with the idiots who are attempting to micromanage us into a drunken stupor. Let’s face it, there is no way we could have ended up with the amount of national debt we have hanging over our heads today accidentally.

At least the war on the Middle Class is going ...

At least the war on theMiddle Class is going well

I attended the  public school system in the 70’s, they were talking about a funding crisis for Social Security back then. The economists knew it was coming. So, what do the politicians do? They raised taxes on cigarettes, because we are killing ourselves with them, damaging our health, and thus causing us to die prematurely. You would think if more of us died prematurely, it would be beneficial for the society as a whole, because there would be fewer people alive to collect Social Security.

Now, I know that might sound terrible but I’ve always said I would die while I was still young enough to be a good-looking corpse. My daddy used to say that a lot. I believe there are worse things than death — that is not one of my major concerns.

Another negative side effect of the huge increases in taxes that have been added to the cost of smoking cigarettes is the huge number of people who have quit smoking because they simply can’t afford it any more, which by-the-way is what the politicians were hoping to do. Fewer people are now smoking, so the government is getting less tax revenue, putting them even further away from their goal of providing Social Security for those who have paid into it their entire lives.

Now they come along and shove mandatory healthcare down our throats. I don’t want anything to do with this overpriced crooked medical system they are offering. Our constitution guarantees us the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, no where in our constitution am I guaranteed a right to overpriced medical care. They can call it “healthcare” if they want but even private insurance companies refuse to cover treatments that are known for their health benefits – our medical system only covers sick care and most of the time they don’t even do that well.

There is a reason they call it “Practicing Medicine,” as most of these clowns don’t have a clue what they are doing.

It’s time we audit the government — every branch — every corner — and cut the fat, cut programs and assistance to the bone. We must do it and we must do it now, we have already passed the tipping point.

Doctors see chinks in vaccination armor

5 year old boy with chicken pox

The headline read…

Doctors see chinks in vaccination armor: As parents opt out of getting shots for their children, diseases such as whooping cough and measles make a comeback when ‘herd immunity’ crumbles.”

Yep, all of the sudden kids just decided to start getting whooping cough for some unknown reason. What they aren’t telling you is that because they have allowed our borders to be overrun with illegal immigrants who carry and/or are sick with any number of diseases. They come to the U.S., they shop in our stores, frequent our restaurants, work in our businesses and spread disease.

As students return to middle schools and high schools in California this fall, they will need more than fresh notebooks and apples for their teachers. Thanks to a state law that took effect last month, students entering grades 7 through 12 will need proof that they received a vaccine for whooping cough.

The law was prompted by last year’s outbreak of the highly contagious respiratory infection, which is also known as pertussis. Nearly 9,500 cases were reported in California, the most in 65 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ten patients died; all of them were infants, including nine who were too young to be vaccinated.

Of course, the article fails to inform readers that parents still have the ability to opt out of the shot, just as they can with any other vaccination. That said, I would be concerned about sending my child into the public school these days. Schools are incubators for disease. Not much has changed really. My niece came home with headlice every other week when she attended public school. She had beatiful long hair, but she liked to wear it down – big mistake.

They keep forcing more and more vaccines on children at younger and younger ages. I really think their little immune systems are being overloaded with chemicals, preservatives, genetically modified foods, and with the addition of  vaccines it can be a lethal chemical combination. Yes, we were fearfully and wonderfully made but the body can only take so much abuse.

Grandma always said, “Garbage in, garbage out.”

I’ve had the measles, it was a childhood ritual when I was growing up. Yes, it can cause death, in just about the same number of instances as vaccines do. The difference is natural immunity lasts a lifetime and has no additional side-effects. Death is a fact of life and there are times when we must accept it.

I was concerned because my son never had the chicken pox, even though we attended more than one chickenpox party. Both of my sisters had the chicken pox but I never did come down with it. I was a bit concerned about being exposed but I knew if my son came down with it, the chances were go that I would as well. Fortunately, neither of us did.

As parents we try to use common sense when seeking medical care for our son. All children are not created equal. Some children are pretty hardy and seem to take things in stride. I was vaccinated for everything and I’ve lived with a lifetime of pain that began when I was about 8-years-old. I had another medical crisis immediately following the addition of 14 amalgam fillings to my teeth. I can’t prove it, but I believe I had mercury poisoning.

I learned the hardway that doctors can not be trusted, the FDA does not have our best interests at heart and that actions have consequences. Don’t allow your doctor to bully you. If you aren’t sure how to proceed. Do your homework and seek a second option from someone you trust.

Ohio Modern Day Heroes!

Pro-Life marchers heading to the Supreme Court

After the many years I spent picketing, rallying and rescuing Ohio infants at the Center for Choice II, in Toledo, Ohio, I never dreamed I would live to see the day that the children might some day be saved  from certain death. If you haven’t heard the news, let me be the first to share a much cherished moment.

The headline reads: “Ohio House approves abortion ban after heartbeat,” when Reuters announced that the Ohio House of Representatives had voted to ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detectable, which can be as early as six weeks.

COLUMBUS (Reuters) – The Ohio House of Representatives on Tuesday voted to ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detectable, which can be as early as six weeks.

The House voted 54 to 43 for the ban, along party lines, with most Republicans voting in favor.

If enacted, the law would be a challenge to the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling which upheld a woman’s right to an abortion until the fetus is viable outside the womb, usually at 22-24 weeks.

Republican Ohio House Speaker William Batchelder said he knows this bill will face a court challenge.

“We’re writing bills for courts,” he said.

The bill now goes to the Republican-dominated Ohio Senate.

The Ohio House also passed two other abortion restrictions Tuesday, one that would ban late-term abortions after 20 weeks if a doctor determines that the fetus is viable outside the womb. Another bill excludes abortion coverage from the state insurance exchange created by the federal health care law.

The late-term ban already was passed by the Ohio Senate.

Neither bill was as contentious as the heartbeat legislation, which does not contain exceptions for rape, incest or the life or health of the mother. [continue reading…]

Here I am living on the “Left Coast,” with these screwy laws and values, while the victory is being won in – of all places – The State of Ohio. We used to own a small family farm back in Curtice, Ohio. My daughter and I cared for over 300 French Angora Rabbits, they started out as a 4-H project but turned into much more. We used to raise our own pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys and so many more, we had a goat once that was simply a riot.

We had those old metal rocking chairs sitting outside by the back door. It was common for us to go out and butcher 10 or  20-chickens and  invite friends over for a BBQ. We’d sit outside, the guys might play some touch football, the kids would play on the swing. As I sat in the chair the goat would come over and nuzzled  my hand trying to get me to pet him. He was a little Nubian goat and smart as  a whip. He would jump up in the chair next to mine and circle round and round, just as if he were trying to cop a squat (sit in the chair, with his legs over the edge)   to copy me. He was so cute.

Many members of our church, New Life Assembly of God, in Oregon, Ohio would picket, sidewalk councel and rescue (with Operation Rescue) unborn children  with peaceful demonstrations. Once we used kryptonite  bicycle locks and locks and chains to close the place down, until the police came. The leaders arranged  a truce, we unlocked our chains and went peacefully to jail. We were allowed to return to the rally after being booked, so long as we promised not to chain up again. We help up our end of the bargain.

A few weeks later the Center for Choice II sued the group collectively for $14 million in a RICO  suit, which the protestors won after a lengthy two-year battle. What a sweet victory it was. The people of Ohio are hardworking, honest folks who understand just how precious life is. God doesn’t make mistakes.

Last night I watched as a deer, who had been hit by a car near our house, suffered and died in agony for 2-hours waiting for the Sheriff to come and shoot it. Just two-days prior I had watch this magnificent young buck as he grazed  in our yard. I took pictures, which I will share in my next article. He struggled for hours trying to stand as he was pinned under some dead bushes in our yard. His front shoulder was fractured, he was frightened and bleeding from his mouth. I cried as I waited, unable to come to terms with his inevitable death. My heart is still broken.

Our business is here in California, we have friends here and have met some terrific people but this state has broken my heart. The laws here in California  are cruel and unfair. From where I am sitting, all I see are liberals who can’t seem to see past today. People who don’t understand business and the way economics work, should not be allowed to effect change that will be detrimental to ones own future well-being.

Tonight, I am celebrating along with the unborn children of Ohio. Bless their souls. I can’t count how many nights I’ve spent in prayer for the infants of this country. This is an answer to many prayers. Who knows, at the rate California children are slaughtered (believe me it is slaughter) Ohio may grow to become the most populated state in the country. Think about it.

I miss you Ohio! I may live in California but my heart remains with you.

According to a July 2, 2011 NPR article…

Statistics compiled by NARAL Pro-Choice America show that 29 governors – including Kansan Sam Brownback – now oppose abortion, up from 21 before the 2010 elections.

And 19 states have House and Senate memberships that are “solidly” opposed to abortion, up from 16 last year. Eight states have what NARAL characterizes as “solidly pro-choice” legislatures, down from 10. [continue reading…]
